AVOID AT ALL COST COFFEE, ENERGY DRINKS, ETC. • NO FACIALS OR BOTOX 4 WEEKS PRIOR. • NO ANTIBIOTICS 2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. • NO WAXING, BROW TINTING OR LAMINATION 2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. • AVOID SKINCARE CONTAINING RETINOLS OR HYALURONIC ACID NEAR THE BROW AREA 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. • MOISTURIZE THE BROW AREA DAILY PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINMENT. AFTER-CARE • FOR 7 DAYS DON'T SOAK YOUR BROWS WITH WATER. IF YOU ARE HAVING LYMPHATIC FLUID GENTLE WIPE WITH COTTON BALL AND SOME PURIFIED WATER TO CLEAN YOUR BROWS UP. • NO EXCESSIVE SWEATING FOR 7 DAYS. • ON THE 2ND DAY YOU MAY BEGIN TO APPLY A RICE SIZE AMOUNT OF VASELINE TO HELP WITH ANY DRYNESS • SCABBIN,G PROCESS USUALLY BEGINS 3-5 DAYS AFTER THE PROCEDURE. PLEASE DO STRACH OR PEEL OFF THE SCAB. IF DONE YOU MAY LEAVE YOURSELF A SCAR OR UNEVEN PIGMENT. • RESULTS VARY ON SKIN TYPE AND AFTERCARE. • TOUCH-UPS ARE HIGHLY RECCOMMENND IN 4-6 WEEKS Permanent makeup is a fantastic option for enhancing your natural beauty with long-lasting results, but it’s important to know if you’re a suitable candidate. Below, you’ll find a list of contraindications for brow tattoos and lip blush to ensure your safety and the best possible healed results. Brow and Lip Tattoo Contraindications: You may not be a suitable candidate for cosmetic tattooing if you: Are under 18 years of age: We cannot perform brow tattooing on individuals under 18, even with parental consent. Are pregnant or nursing: Hormonal changes can increase susceptibility to infections and affect healing. Have uncontrolled diabetes: Uncontrolled blood sugar levels can impair healing and increase the risk of infection. Have a history of keloid scarring: If you’ve ever developed keloid scars, you may be at risk for similar scarring from the procedure. Are currently undergoing chemotherapy, radiation treatments or have an active cancer diagnosis: A doctor’s note is required to proceed with brow tattooing during cancer treatments. Have a pacemaker or major heart problems: The use of epinephrine as a numbing agent can increase heart rate, posing risks for individuals with heart conditions. Have viral infections or diseases: Conditions like hepatitis or HIV can increase the risk of complications. Have active skin conditions near the brow area: Eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, psoriasis, or severe acne can compromise the skin’s surface and affect results. Are taking blood-thinning medications: Medications such as Coumadin, Pradaxa, Xarelto, Eliquis, and Savaysa can prevent proper pigment retention. Have used Accutane (acne medication) within the last year: Accutane can alter skin texture and sensitivity; a one-year discontinuation is required before undergoing brow tattooing. Use skincare products that contain active ingredients: Products containing retinol, tretinoin, AHAs/BHAs, etc. should not be used for two full weeks prior to the tattoo appointment. *LIP BLUSH ONLY* If you are prone to cold sores on the lip area: If you have experienced a cold sore in your lifetime (yes, even one!) you should consult with your PCP to ensure it is safe to tattoo the area and receive antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak.
